Meet the Family

The Perez Family have been the proud owners and operators of El Tapatio in Sedalia since 1995. The family immigrated to the Show-Me State from Jalisco, Mexico in 1995 with the hopes of achieving the American dream and educating the Sedalia community on Latin-American culture. We’re excited to say that we think we’ve done both! Through our Cinco De Mayo celebrations filled with Mexican Folklore dancing and our expansion to a large free-standing location on HWY 65, these past 25 years have been kind to our family and business.

Passing the Torch

2021 brought exciting change for the restaurant! Founders Maria and H.A. Perez announced their retirement and passed the business down to their daughter Minerva Perez-Marin and her husband Cesar Marin.
